What will I need to get approved for a firearms merchant account?

For starters, you’ll need a Federal Firearms License (FFL) which allows you to legally sell firearms between states. Then, like any other merchant, you’ll need to undergo a background/financial check by your payment processor of choice’s Underwriting Department. At Inovio, we do our underwriting in-house, so If everything checks out, we’ll have you set up to accept credit card payments in no time.

Is there an underwriting process for gateway-only services?

You’ll need to provide your FFL (Federal Firearms License), Business TIN/EIN, State Registration, and existing merchant processing statements (if applicable). Additional forms may be required depending on the monthly volume requested, but you’ll have a designated Inovio Team Member to help you through the entire process.
